Today at the garden beekeeper beehives: Hundreds of bees from two colonies hang motionless from the front of the hives. Do bees also go on holiday? Chilling on the balcony? You could certainly get this impression when you see the beards on the hives.

One reads that such a thing happens in times of no bloom and very high humidity. What exactly the bees are doing by hanging around in front of their apartment is not clear, however.
