Winter is here.

Winter is here.

In 2022, 5 colonies have given us a pleasantly good honey harvest. The honey stock is well filled.

Fortunately, the colony expansion was also successful, so that the garden beekeeper could significantly increase his population of bee colonies this year.

The bees are now at peace: the colonies were treated against the Varroa mite in late summer, fed and wintered, long-lived winter bees were incubated. The colonies no longer brood and therefore consume little food. The current temperatures of up to -10°C are no problem for the colonies.

If the colonies survive the winter well, then the garden beekeeper will be able to sell some colonies again in the spring.
