The action at the hive entrance - captured in slow motion a few days ago - is impressive:
- Returning bees land unerringly on the narrow flight board and quickly bring their valuable cargo - pollen and nectar - into the box
- Flying bees leave the hive entrance "upside down", crawl a few steps upwards along the outer wall and then push off backwards. This way they do not get in the way of the returning collectors
- Sometimes bees collide with each other anyway and are thrown off course. What happens then? They adjust their crown, get up and just keep flying ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
