Labelling Honey Jars.

Labelling Honey Jars.

In our manufactory we not only produce the delicious honey in traditional handicraft (better said the bees produce it - we harvest it and fill it freshly into jars). We also design the labels ourselves and apply them to the jars manually.

This is more elaborate than getting the labels ready from a print shop and gluing the jars by machine. The thoroughly meditative character of this work allows the garden beekeeper to enjoy this as well - preferably on cold winter days with a cosy cup of tea and accompanied by beautiful music.

Working steps:

  1. Creation of the design on the PC, updating the information ( sort, harvest date, best before date)
  2. Printing sheets on plain paper
  3. Cutting the labels and the seal strips with a photo cutter
  4. Adhere the lower part of the seal strip with a glue stick (water soluble)
  5. Stick on the label with glue stick (water soluble)
  6.  Adhere the upper part of the warranty strip with photo adhesive (water-insoluble)

The labels can be easily removed from the glass under the running water without leaving any residue, whereas in the dishwasher they bond firmly to the glass and are then difficult to remove.
