Today the garden beekeeper harvested a small but fine quantity of golden brown summer honey, the last harvest for this year.

After extraction, the honey passes through two stainless steel sieves and a fine nylon sieve with 0.35mm mesh size. After a short clarification phase, in which the smallest wax particles collect on the surface and are skimmed off, the liquid gold is freshly filled into jars.

For the family, honey harvesting has become routine ("daddy's hobby"), so that this event no longer attracts special attention. For the garden beekeeper it was some nice, meditative hours.

The honey theft was sweetened for the bees with the administration of a few kilos of sugar syrup. It is the beginning of the feeding for the winter.
