Woodpecker Disturbing the Winter Rest.

So the garden beekeeper comes home once before sunset to find that a woodpecker has tried to get hold of some tasty bees.

That's the bad news. The good news is that last weekend the garden beekeeper found all his colonies alive and with sufficient food supplies. In order to assess this, he weighed the boxes and briefly opened the lid of the boxes, shone a flashlight into the honeycomb alleys and thus took a look at the strength of the winter cluster: between four and nine honeycomb alleys were occupied by bees, so everything is in the green zone.

 

Now they may continue their winter rest for a few more weeks and dream of nectar and swarming...
