The formation of offshoots is a measure to dampen swarming and at the same time a reproduction method controlled by the beekeeper. This year, the formation of 4 offsprings from the first bee colony is planned.

 
The 4 additional hives - enough space for 4 youngster colonies from offshoots - come from the workshop shop of Karlshöhe Ludwigsburg. Painted with booty protection paint they are now waiting for their use in the garden.
